Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD) aims to promote employment and self-employment via short-term vocational courses for students to foster industrial growth, staying updated with technology, and the advancement of social and economic factors.
INIFD collaborates with MSBSD and to provide certificates, diploma and advance courses in Fashion Design and Interior Design approved by The Government of Maharashtra. With this affiliation, students get priority in government department jobs since INIFD Design courses on-par with those of the government. This certification also promotes entrepreneurship.
Institute of Indian Interior Designers has been delivering professional trade practices and ethics amongst its associates since 1972. It reinforces the conception of interior design within India and abroad to encourage ethical design within the interior design fraternity and encourage interaction between designers, traders, artists, etc.
With IIID, INIFD transforms the study of design per the field’s existing dynamics. With excellent training facilities, original curriculums that combine theory, practical experience and industrial connections, INIFD leads design training.
INIFD’s IIID programs cover design basics, communication skills, workshops, extensive learning of materials, colours and mediums used in interior design. ‘Learn from Manish Malhotra’, is a distinctive online portal designed for students to learn from the well-established Fashion Designer, Costume Designer and Stylist, Manish Malhotra. The portal comprises nine detailed modules delivered in 52 weeks and provides students with an experiential learning and insights from Manish Malhotra.
The designer imparts his knowledge and years of expertise that helps students transform their creativity and shape their career as a designer. The course introduces them to fashion with an industrial perspective under the veteran’s guidance, develop a niche and be able to give their vision the centre stage.
INIFD Classroom features the industry’s top designers sharing their opinions. INIFD is the only privileged student organisation associated with IMG Reliance that has expanded the fashion business with the launch of ‘The Voice of Fashion, a digital destination on Fashion and Design. This exclusive online platform helps students connect with industry veterans who share their experiences and knowledge only with INIFD students. Keeping up with the most important conversations in the Indian Fashion & Interior design industry, INIFD Classroom brings together the voices, views and ideas of experts.
FBB Femina Miss India is India’s biggest beauty pageant that selects representatives annually to compete in Miss World. The event is organised by a women's magazine called ‘Femina’ published by The Times Group. INIFD South Mumbai is the Education Partner of 'Femina Miss India' and INIFD Academy of Interiors is the official knowledge partner of Femina Miss India. Students get the chance to style and design for beautiful models and cover that extra mile with unmatched industry exposure.
